Tasting Notes
Colour:Deep, brilliant old gold.
Nose:Complex aromas of toffee-apple, raisins, honey and orange blossom.
Palate:The decadent palate offers a tremendous concentration of ripe fruits, along with caramel, dried apricots and marmalade all well integrated with the fortifying spirit and a well-balanced sweetness which culminates in a delicious, persistent finish.

Winemaking Notes:Fruit is crushed, destemmed and fermented for a brief period before fortification, on skins using 7-year-old wood aged brandy spirit. Pressing occurs soon after fortification, followed by maturation in older 225 litre barriques which are stored the warmest part of the winery to accelerate maturation. This, our inaugural Fortified Muscadelle, is blend of multiple vintage years, all of which have been matured as individual components, and has an average age of nearly 9 years at the time of bottling.
