Tasting Notes
Colour:Deep red with garnet hues.
Nose:Forest fruits, wild strawberries and cherry with hints of sandalwood and spice.
Palate:A medium to full-bodied wine offering plummy red fruits, cherries, liquorice and cola characters. A savoury style with supple tannins and persistence of flavour producing a wonderfully moreish, easy drinking wine.
Cellar:Offering vibrancy in its youth, this wine will also cellar comfortably for several years.

Region:Margaret River
Conditions:A cold winter with reasonable rainfall led to late budburst. This was followed by a cool wet spring, allowing extended flowering, good fruit-set and higher than average yields. A lack of Marri blossom leading up to and during harvest meant that bird pressure was extreme. In summary 2023 was an excellent vintage.

Winemaking Notes:Fruit was destemmed and lightly crushed before small batch fermentation in a static fermenter. The cap was managed using aerative pumping over for 6-7 days before gentle pressing.
