It’s easy to see today what first inspired the creation of Xanadu almost 50 years ago. A place radiating with promise and potential—a magnetic pull that brings people back again and again.

Named for an ancient, otherworldly paradise, the Xanadu of today remains a source of inspiration. It’s the region’s natural warmth and radiant energy we aim to reflect every day in every bottle—a vibrancy that echoes from the region, through the vineyard, and into our wines.

EXPERIENCE THE RARE BEAUTY OF MARGARET RIVER

Xanadu is among the oldest vineyards in Margaret River region of Western Australia best known for its cooler, maritime climate. At the heart of our viticultural philosophy are our people, our land and our region. The longstanding relationships we’ve forged with our growers, our community and our customers, and our dedication to protecting and showcasing the character of our region, are central to all decisions made in the vineyards.  Our wines are a liquid expression of Margaret River. We craft wines that bottle the vibrancy of this place so that no matter where you are, you too can experience the vitality of our region.

SUSTAINABILITY

IN OUR VINEYARDS

SOIL & COMPOST
Cover crops are used to increase organic matter and improve soil aeration and structure. Composted grape marc and other organic products are dispersed across our vineyards.

WATER MANAGEMENT
Use of our dam enhances our self-sufficiency. Crop factors and weekly evaporation data direct irrigation strategy to reduce overuse of water.

WEED MANAGEMENT
Sheep grazing controls weeds and minimises tractor and herbicide requirements. Site selected cover crops manage summer weeds, stabilise soil temperatures, maintain soil moisture and reduce CO2 loss during heat waves.

BIODIVERSITY & BIOSECURITY
Cover crops extend our flowering season and support beneficial insects within our vineyards. We reduce and control access into our vineyards, use foot baths and remove virus affected vines to manage the risk of pests and diseases.

CIRCA 77 ROSE

The Circa 77 range embodies our rich history and ever-growing love for Margaret River, where we have crafted wines that reflect the beauty of this region since 1977.
Tasting notes:
Colour: Pale pastel pink, with salmon hues.
Nose: The bouquet of this vibrant, punchy wine offers fresh red berry fruits, watermelon and pomegranate characters, with hints of talc and spice.
Palate: The palate is medium bodied, with wild strawberries and cream flavours combined with zesty pink grapefruit. It is a lively, fruit driven wine with a moreish acidity which culminates in a crisp, refreshingly dry and savoury finish.
