Tasting Notes

Colour:Pale straw
Nose:The bouquet of this striking Chardonnay offers both purity and complexity; white peach, citrus and frangipani floral aromas with the subtle hints of oatmeal and oyster shell in the background.
Palate: The elegant palate is medium-bodied, displaying white fleshed stone fruit, nashi pears and tangy lemon pith characters. The taut/minerally structure of the wine is complimented by a fine creamy texture derived from lees stirring whilst in barrel. The vibrant fruit and crisp acid backbone combine to focus the wine perfectly to a lingering fruit finish.
Cellaring Potential:While drinking well in its youth this wine will certainly reward with careful cellaring.

Conditions:After a late and wet winter, it was a warm and relatively dry growing season with a few hot days dispersed throughout. Yields were variable and generally much lower than anticipated particularly in white varieties, partially because of the extreme bird pressure—due to a lack of Marri blossom. Overall, the quality of wine produced from vintage 2025 is generally very good

Winemaking Notes: Pressed without any crushing, followed by 100% barrel fermentation. Fermentation was allowed to occur naturally, introducing more complexity and personality into the wine. Barrels were lees stirred throughout the nine-month oak maturation period.
